My first memories of FruChocs were being at Aami Stadium watching the Adelaide Crows play and before the game, a FruChoc mascot would throw them into the crowd. I caught a packet one game and since then, I have been hooked.

Fruchocs were first produced in 1948 and are sent to fifteen countries around the world. There is a public shop in the Glynde store for FruChocs lovers to come and see the range and purchase some of the delicious treats they have to offer. The store is large and can see workers and machines manufacturing goods through a door.

The Menz brand used to focus on two famous products. The Menz FruChoc and the Menz Crown Mints. The brand now stock a wide variety of products, including Menz Jelichocs, Menz Classic fruit and Nuts range, Menz Chocolate Honeycomb, Jelly Confectionery and Menz Chocolate Snakes.

The stores stock not only FruChocs, they sell all the delicious treats listed above, all lining the shelves of the large store. They also sell merchandise, such as hats, jumpers, coffee mugs, t-shirts and FruChocs mascot toys.

In store, you can also buy FruChocs seconds. FruChocs that just didn't make the cut to make it to the bags and are sold at heavily discounted prices and in some cases, they look perfectly fine and taste no different. When I went to the store, I purchased three big bags that were about $7. The lady at the counter said that some dark chocolate was mixed up with the milk and that's why they become FruChoc seconds but I would never have known the difference.

I read a fun fact on the Robern Menz website that said that Robern Menz manufactures enough chocolate each year that if it were poured on to the MCG, it would cover the entire ground. (I could imagine it, YUM!)

It was not till a few years ago I realised there is a FruChocs appreciation day. Last year ,I went to the shops especially to buy FruChocs and sat there on my lounge eating them till the bag was empty. My plan was to make a dessert with them because there are so many yummy recipes on their website to try out. The FruChocs appreciation day is the last Friday of August.

Another way to show your support, other than eating those chocolate covered fruity goodness, is to join the FruChocs Appreciation Society. You will receive $5 voucher upon joining, 10% off of any purchase, $10 birthday voucher, free 150g bag of FruChocs when you spend $50 and many more fantastic offers.
