I enjoy "fine dining", presenting programs on radios 4MBS, MBS Light and 4RPH and going to drama and music at Brisbane theatres.

Based on "The Snow Queen" by Hans Christian Anderson, the film tells the story of two loving royal sisters, Anne (Kristen Bell) and Elsa (Idina Menzel).

Elsa can freeze anything with her bare hands which is why she usually wears gloves. At her coronation, a chapter of accidents leads to her freezing ability being exposed, and, in order, as she believes, to protect her sister and her people she exiles herself in an ice palace which has to be seen to be believed.

Problem is, Elsa's power is greater than she thinks, and her whole country is frozen and snowed over. So Anna decides to find her sister, to try to help her and release Elsa's people from disaster.

Along the way she encounters (and falls for) a sleaze-ball suitor, a snow monster, and a talking snowman destined to live in Disney annals for ever. There is also a reindeer probably also destined for said annals.

The animations and special effects are superb, the music is spell-binding, and the plot is engaging and fun.

If you like Disney, you will love this film.
