If you find yourself in the Pacific Palms region of the New South Wales north coast, you must stop by for a coffee or bite at at Smith's Lake.

The smaller of the great lakes, but just as majestic, Smiths Lake is a gorgeous area which is located mid way between Myall and Wallis Lakes. The lake offers warm calm waters, dotted with islands and bounded by National Park, and is the perfect location for the .

An unexpected and hidden gem located on the edge of Smith Lakes, is a relaxed waterside café serving breakfast, lunch and of course, coffee, in a truly beautiful and serene setting.

Anything with the name Pacific or Palm associated with it inspires imagery of natural beauty and paradise, so it comes as no surprise that this café and location in the Pacific Palms region is breathtakingly pretty.

Sitting afloat on the lake, has prime position, offering spectacular views across the water and providing the perfect setting for a nice meal or drink.

The café offers outdoor dining on the deck, which is undercover, but open to the fresh air and gorgeous water views over the tranquil waters of the lake. Patrons can enjoy their food and coffee while gazing out on the water which is absolutely stunning, and sit and while away the hours.

The Big Surfer's Breakfast for $17.50 is good value with huge portions to fill a hungry belly with the eggs, bacon, sausages, bread, tomato and mushrooms, making for a satisfying feed.

Even the fish are happy here. Staff entice the children in the café to feed the fish, offering the children small pieces of bread to feed the fish, and watch in delight when they rise to the top of the lake for their food.

Patrons can gaze out at the watercraft being hired through the boatshed, or watch the fish swimming in the lake's shallows.
For those who wish to be more active or work up an appetite, the boatshed within the café offers watercraft rental, for everything from small boats, to kayaks, canoes, catamarans and wind surfers. There is really something for everyone here.

If water-sports is not for you, talk a leisurely walk along the lake and enjoy the scenery. There is so much natural beauty here to be seen.

Either way, don't miss this place if you are in the neighbourhood.
