Hands down my kids' favourite park to visit in our local area is Frontier Park, situated at Woodlea Estate in Rockbank.



If you are looking for a playground that has just about everything, such as awesomely large slides, rope tunnels and bridges, a shelter and seating area, BBQ facilities, basketball court, small skate park, log climbing area, swings, water play sections, sandpit, and toilets - this park is for you!

Frontier Park is at Frontier Avenue, just off of Leakes Road, which can be accessed either by the Melton Highway or the Western Freeway (M8).

This park also has a sister park, Woodlea Playground, just up Woodlea Boulevard. Smaller in size, Woodlea Playground does not have the water play sections but, it does have a flying fox and is located near the East West Eatery & Tuckshop if you're wanting a coffee or a quick bite to eat while you are out with the little ones.



I hope you enjoy Frontier Park as much as my family does. If you're planning to visit, it's a good idea to bring some spare seating (think camping chair for the adults) as the park gets fairly busy on sunny days, weekends, and public holidays but that's only because it's such a great park to have on this side of Melbourne.
