Say 'cheese'. But better to say it in French. The beautiful sounding word 'fromage' (French for cheese) comes with a raft of culinary heritage and deliciousness. Raclette cheese that melts before your eyes, degustation platters, wine and champagne pairings, perfectly ripe Camembert, Roquefort, Bleu d'Auvergne (a cow milk blue-veined cheese), Bouton de Culotte a soft, bloomy rind goat cheese. Oh, it is all so divine.

Luckily you don't have to travel to France for such experiences. Such delights are coming your way in the on the 24 March held in Werribee.

The festival is in the historic grounds of Werribee Park Mansion. Squint really hard and it could be Versailles as the mansion has an impressive facade, pretty flower beds and perfectly manicured lawns.

Your $37 ticket grants you access to some of Australia's finest food exhibitors. And with such stunning grounds, you can put together your own unique and delicious picnic hamper, selecting items from local producers who will be there showcasing a delectable array of food and beverages.

Lounge on the lawns and enjoy the roving entertainment, lawn games and live music, including the sounds of Melbourne band, Vaudeville Smash as you feast the afternoon away.

You will also be able to meet the makers behind the delicious, cheesy offerings, sample their wares, and pair those delicious cheeses and artisan food with handcrafted wine, beer, cider or
spirits for a leisurely picnic on the lawns.

There will be master classes and demonstrations on the Chef Stage. You can watch the mozzarella stretching, try some cheese-inspired ice cream or roll up your trousers for a grape stomp competition brought to you by the Pyrenees Wine Region (the one in Western Victoria). The French connection dates back to the 1960s when French brandy producer Rémy Martin established his chateau near Avoca.

With expert tips and tricks from renowned cheesemongers, you'll walk away from Fromage a Trois with newfound knowledge of all things cheesey.

Early bird tickets can be purchased online via the Melbourne Food and Wine Festival website click here.

Werribee Park is a 30-minute drive from Melbourne's CBD but a world away with its rich heritage and grand grounds.

Limited Early Bird tickets are $37 and include entry, entertainment, plenty of samples and a take-home festival glass to remind you of your charming French-inspired experience.

Entry is free for children 14 and under when entering with a full paying adult.

There will be further updates, particularly about the exhibitors and chefs, so keep an eye on the Facebook page and website .
