Join fashion historian Nicole Jenkins for the From Victoria To Beatrice: A Brief History of British Royal Wedding Gowns lecture. The online event will take place on 28 October 2021 at 1.00pm (AEST).

Nicole Jenkins is a costume designer, vintage clothing aficionado, and ran the vintage clothing store, Circa. She is also an author of two books Love Vintage and Style is Eternal.

An illustrated look at the history and impact of British royal wedding gowns over the last 170 years, including the styles worn by Queen Elizabeth II, the Duchess of Windsor, the Duchess of Sussex and Princess Beatrice.

Choices on such celebratory occasions are highly personal and reveal details about the women who wore them, their status and intended roles, and altered the way we dress for our own weddings. The session also includes a Q&A session.
