From the closet to the pantry, donating during these times is a benefit to both parties. There are organisations, from the Salvation Army to little mom and pop thrift stores, who with open arms are wanting these items. You do not even need to leave your house! Schedule a Salvation Army pick up at satruck.org. Mom and pop thrift shops are also the rage these days. These little shops are popping up everywhere. In return of utilising these stores, you get an organised house and peace of mind knowing you did a good deed.

With your closet, once you are finished clearing out, make up a new wardrobe with what is left. Make up outfits with items the way you never thought of. For example, until university, I never knew black could be worn with blue until my roommate wore the two. I thought the two colours clashed. However, I know now the two are fine or "politically correct".

You can change a whole outfit with your shoes! Are you always wearing black shoes? Why not wear white? Are you always wearing high heels? Give your feet a vacation and wear flats!
On the weekend, let it all down and wear a cap. An outfit may be changed this way also. Take your time doing this.

Then… onward to your pantry or kitchen. Call your local church or mayor's office to find out where to donate food. The Salvation Army also accepts food.

Take out every can or bottle, one by one, and think to yourself if you really need the item or not. Before donating or keeping, be sure to check the expiration. Place in sturdy boxes. Before placing what you kept in the cupboards, wipe out with a cloth and spray bleach. Place in order of likes instead of all over the place! You are going to feel good knowing you gave a person a meal.

Tired of the same recipes? With the groceries you kept, log into supercook.com. Plug-in your kept pantry items and automatically find recipes galore calling for these ingredients.

With this all said, most of your spring cleaning is tackled! They say a clean and organised atmosphere is good physically and mentally. Do you know how you are providing the same to someone else? A shirt on their back. Food in their belly.

Your weekends are now all jazzed up! New outfits! New recipes! People are going to ask you where YOU are going… Just say, "I just got a new outfit and am headed to my favourite restaurant!"
