An all-American girl walks into a London bar. An Aussie bloke spots her from across the room, walks over and says, "You are the most beautiful woman I've ever seen" and with a kiss, her fate is sealed. He followed her to the US and they were married in Central Park. It's the stuff of fairytales until an unexpected result in the American presidential election turned their life upside down (under).

This sets the scene for From: New York, For: Him, a one-woman show produced by Brandon Pape and starring multi-talented American import, Melissa David, who chronicles her life and love story, accompanied by pianist, Peppy Smears.



A child of hippies in San Francisco, Melissa yearned for a conventional life but was this her destiny? Melissa's fearless and commanding performance exudes passion and her powerful voice belie her struggles as a child, as an aspiring actress in NYC, and now adjusting to life down under.



From: New York, For: Him is a rom-com musical and autobiography packed into one 60 minute tour de force. Melissa delivers a deeply personal performance while delving deeply into issues that affect us all. From: New York, For: Him compels us to examine how we come to terms with our reality, discover what we value most if life, make the tough decisions, and live life to the fullest no matter how uncertain our future may be.
