If you are feeling worn down by the demands of parenting, worried about not being the parent you want to be or feel like there's never enough time, take note of the Jaded to Joyful - Mindful Parenting Workshop, presented by experienced mindfulness instructor Dr Sharn Rocco.Held on Friday 19 August, 10am to 1pm at South Brisbane Sailing Club, this unique half-day workshop will explore the principles and practices of mindfulness that can help restore the joy of parenting. Under the guidance of Dr Sharn Rocco, a practitioner and teacher of meditation for over a decade, parents and parents-to-be will learn mindfulness strategies for:self care while caring for othersmaking the most of minimum timefinding calm amidst chaosletting go of frustration and worrycommunicating love and understandingParticpants will leave this workshop relaxed, re-energised, reassured and ready to be fully present to oneself and their children.Bookings are essential for this upcoming workshop. She is passion about supporting people of all ages to live life with compassion and wholeheartedness, to feel connected, confident and competent. Sharn has twice been scholar-in-residence for the Garrison Institute NY and has taught mindfulness courses and led daylong and weekend retreats in various locations in NSW and Queensland as well as in New York, Ubud and Oslo.
