Waste not, want not
On Saturday, 15 September 2018, from 10am until 12pm, join sustainable gardening expert Alan Shepard at City of Marion's Glandore Community Garden, to learn how to create and maintain your own compost bin and/or worm farm.

Backyard compost bins and worm farms present the perfect opportunity to sustainably convert suitable waste to compost and worm food (aka 'liquid gold') which gardens thrive on. Best of all, many local councils (including City of Marion) currently offer a very generous rebate (once per financial year) to residents who purchase (and can provide a receipt) a worm farm, compost bin, live worms or bokashi bin.

From Garbage to Garden' is a free event - bookings are preferred and can be made online: via or; via email: or via phone: 8375 6600 (City of Marion).
