From Earth and Water (Raw Food Cafe)

From Earth and Water is a vegan, gluten free and mostly raw organic food cafe in Burleigh Heads (about 15 minutes south of the Gold Coast). It is open everyday for lunch (except Tuesdays) and serves dinner on Friday nights.

Atmosphere
Having recently moved venues, the cafe now opens onto the street, welcoming customers for a take away or dine in experience. A mixture of rustic, recycled timber tables with clean, white chairs gives a crisp, beach feel. Having the large communal table as a centre piece allows for friendly interaction with fellow customers.

Savoury
This a seasonal menu full of fresh and locally sourced produce, examples include:
a) Raw tacos - with mango chutney and cashew cream


b) Raw lentil salad - with almond feta


Sweet
a) Raw snickers - this is very popular and often sells out
b) Raw mango cheesecake - with cashew/coconut ice cream


Drinks
The smoothies here are very popular with a combination of a healthy green smoothie and others like the strawberry spider to tickle your taste buds.

A visit here is well worthwhile, if for nothing else than to try raw food at its best or to attend one of their occasional cooking/raw food classes.
