Amazing, brilliant and insightful show on Bette Midler
Wow, what a stunning performance by Sarah Jane Whiteley as she pays homage to the glorious talents of the amazing Bette Midler.

This show was as professional as you would expect an actual Bette Midler performance to be. Sarah Jane, along with Jennifer Trijo and Fiona Delaine absolutely teared up the stage performing such hits as 'The Rose', 'From a Distance' and 'Under the Boardwalk'. An absolute highlight and personal favourite was the performance of 'Wind Beneath My Wings', the stunning song from my much-loved Bette Midler movie, Beaches. The location and set up of the venue, especially those gorgeous centrepieces, absolutely set the tone for what was to be a dazzling cabaret show about The Divine Bette Midler.

The Divine Miss M
What a stunning tribute

This show was not only an amazing musical tribute to Bette, but it was also a platform to inform the crowd of the amazing life of the "Divine Miss M". I learnt quite a bit about the star also known as "Delores Delago" and the fact she really struggled to make a name for herself in the early days. This is defiantly not the case now as Bette Midler is one of the most recognised faces within the entertainment industry. You can really feel the admiration from each performer about their love and amazing impression left on them by this brilliant entertainers rise to fame.

It is as though her inspiring story has led their way to become flawless professionals in their own right. Flawless is not a word to use lightly in the entertainment industry and I can most certainly use it for this performance. I must say that Sarah Jane Whiteley, Jennifer Trijo and Fiona Delaine, along with their highly professional and extremely talented band comprising of Tim Wilsdon, David Goodwin and Sam Miller highlighted the brilliant talents that is Bette Midler in the most amazing tribute.

The fact that she pursued her fame through her love of jazz, Broadway and movies was brilliantly portrayed in this must-see show. The ending was just as stunning as the beginning with Sarah Jane explaining that there really can't be an ending of her tribute as Bette is still going strong, but the performance of 'One for my Baby' by Johnny Carson was pure brilliance along with the highly energetic performance of 'Rolling on the River' as the encore.

I honestly recommend purchasing tickets to whatever Sarah Jane and crew perform in as the show was extremely entertaining, highly professional and just an all-round brilliant evening!
