It's first in best dressed at the event organised by The Way We Wear Fairs, who host similar shopping sprees in nine cities Australia wide. There are bargains and treasures to be found with over thirty professional dealers touting an amazing array of antiques, and vintage and retro clothing, fashion accessories and homewares; check out the gorgeous vintage dress and retro glassware set I picked up last year.
When you have need of a shopping respite head to the vintage cafe for a selection of homemade tasty morsels including scones, sandwiches, Victoria sponge cake, and English tea served in exquisite fine china. High teas are also available at $20.00 per person.
Additional shopping pleasure can found in the Sell The Wardrobe section - and if you're looking to cull your wardrobe or offload some authentic antique, vintage or designer wares, you can participate and set up a stall for $60 per day (or $30 for the Friday night).
Entry to the fair is $10 adult, $8 concession and $5 for teens, which covers admission for the whole weekend so you can extend your shopping pleasure and take the time to fully explore the offerings. Further details and $2 discount vouchers can be printed off the Frock Up website. There is an abundance of on-site and nearby street parking.
