New to Canberra, I love exploring this city and the secrets that it holds with my family.
Event: -
Shop for vintage, antique and retro fashion
Frock Up Australia markets are held at various cities around Australia selling vintage, second hand, antique and retro fashion, jewellery and accessories. Sift through the clothing racks, rummage through button boxes, check out the tables with costume jewellery and walk out the door with a few bargains never seen before. The markets are held at the Griffith Neighbourhood Hall south of the city, and entry is a $2 donation.

In 2017 the dates are:

Friday, 12th May (6pm - 9pm) & Saturday, 13th May (10am - 4pm).

Friday, 4th August (6pm - 9pm) & Saturday, 5th August (10am - 4pm).

Friday, 3rd November (6pm - 9pm) & Saturday, 4th November (10am - 4pm).

Locals are also encouraged to sell their quality second hand fashions. See the Frock Up Australia website for more details.

Hi Sue - went to the 'Music at Midday' concert by the Royal Military College (RMC) Band today. The 1 hour concerts are held bi-monthly at the Canberra Theatre and the gold coin entry donation goes to charity. The concert has an 11am and a 12.30 performance (same program). Numbers could be better for this event and I think worthy of publicity in Weekendnotes. You could contact RMC for further information. Regards Trish
