Fritz's Railroad Restaurant, a Kansas City icon since 1954, started as a fifties-style drive-in located in Kansas City, KS. During the 60's, owners Fritz and Virginia Kopf opened a second location with the famous delivery trains for which Fritz's Railroad Restaurants are so well known. Fritz originally designed the train food delivery system to help with staffing issues, but it quickly became a huge draw for children and adults to this quaint hamburger joint.

The full breakfast menu contains all the home-style griddle favorites. For lunch or dinner, the grilled hamburger is their specialty. They offer a variety of unusual combinations such as the Gen Dare, a single hamburger topped with hash browns, grilled onions, melted cheese, ketchup, mustard and pickles, on a seeded bun.
