Fabulous food and Fringe World fun at Fr'Inglewood fiesta
Fr'Inglewood on Monday, February 4, will take a slightly more adult approach than in previous weeks.
The fourth week of celebrating comedy festival Fringe World at the Inglewood Monday Night Markets features: YUCK Circus; Tom GK: Hearing Loss The Musical; A Snake's Tale; Opposites Attract; and PickUp: Sex is Funny.
While all of the events are suitable for families, there will be a lot more adult fun in this week's lineup of acts from 6.15pm at the Town Square in front of the Inglewood Library than in the last couple of weeks.
'Tom GK: Hearing Loss, The Musical' takes a comic look at deafness.
The Fr'Inglewood editions of the Monday night markets are a great opportunity to pick up a bite to eat from the dozens of food trucks and stalls lining both sides of Beaufort Street in Inglewood and enjoy some free entertainment at the same time.
YUCK Circus at 6.15pm features a powerhouse of West Australian female circus performers who combine a sense of humour with high flying acrobatics and groovy dancing.
Tom GK: Hearing Loss, The Musical at 6.45pm is the story of Tom GK who had a dream job as a music reviewer for a national newspaper, while rapidly losing his hearing.
'Opposites Attract' is a comedy dance show about an odd couple.
He swapped his musical life for doctors, hearing tests and MRI scans and Tom has now turned his battle with the genetic disease of neurofibromatosis into a musical.
There are plenty of adults who don't find snakes to be much of a turn on, so A Snake's Tale at 7.15pm may well be a show that will appeal to youngsters rather than some adults, but it is suitable for anybody over the age of three who wants to find out what snakes eat and even what they feel like.
Opposites Attract at 7.45pm is a comedy dance show about odd couple Atomic Silver and Gold Fusion who play humorously on their differences as they explore diversity in the world of science and technology.
'PickUp: Sex is Funny' is a musical comedy about everything from gender issues to sexuality.
Each of the four acts will give a 15 minute taster of their Fringe World performances which are among something like 700 acts which have been going on at around 138 Perth venues from January into February.
The Monday night markets run through until April 29 and are open from 6pm.
