Friends of Ashley
Whiteman Park Train Station, where the fun starts

What

Friends of Ashley is a great day out for the whole family, particularly if you have any train or Thomas the Tank Engine enthusiasts within the group. This is an opportunity to meet the friendliest of trains as well as Bennett Brook Railways very own 'Fat Controller'.

All of the trains on the day are decked out and dressed up to give a canny resemblence akin to those on the Thomas the Tank engine series, albeit with different names. Come along and you can meet Ashley, Windy Wyndham, Betty Thompson, Fremantle, Planet and Rosalie.

Where
The Friends of Ashley Day is hosted within the beautiful Whiteman Park where the Bennett Brook Railway is situated. Parking is available throughout Whiteman Park, but unless you come early, steer yourself towards the Mussel Pool car park where there are normally adequate parking spaces even into the afternoon. This is a popular event and you'll find quite a crowd gathering to meet the engines.

When
Sunday, 23rd September 2012. Between 9.30am and 4pm. But the fun doesn't have to end there. Whiteman Park is a beautiful place to explore with so much on offer for families. In addition to the park grounds, walks and trails there are a number of museums and amusements to really make a day of it. Check out the What's On guide to plan your day out.

How Much
Tickets cost $15 on the day. Under 2's are free. If you book in advance tickets cost $12. Advance tickets are available by calling the booking office between 9am - 4pm on 9534 3215.
Tickets include unlimited train and bus rides, all day in addition to access to other displays.

What Else
As well as being able to delight the train lovers in your household, your ticket includes admission to some other great attractions and displays including local farm animals, FESA fire engines, Scouts WA display, free admission to the Revolutions Museum as well as musical entertainment provided in the form of a live jazz band.
