Ultimate Family Halloween Festival

Short of a trip to Wes Craven's Woodsboro (aka: Scream 1996), you would be hard-pressed to find a scarier family-friendly Halloween Festival than the Friday Night Spooktacular at the Cranbourne Racecourse on Saturday 28th October 2017.

The Friday Night Spooktacular is being heralded as the ultimate family Halloween festival, with heart-stopping trick or treating for both adults and kids, a spooky glow zone, thrilling amusement rides and gory storytelling among the line-up of scary entertainment. Your heart will be racing from start to finish in a perfectly orchestrated program of events.

Survive the night unscathed by dressing up in your scariest best. What will you be, a goblin or ghoul or a creature of the night? Whoever you come as, you'll blend in with the crowd and really get into the spirit of the occasion. Face painters will be on hand to assist with those finishing touches; then you're ready to take a tentative walk down Spook Street. Do you have the nerve to ask trick or treat? Don't say I didn't warn you. This is not trick-or-treating for the faint-hearted. You'll be knocking at your own risk because you never know who is going to open the door. Look out! The 'trick' might just be on you.

Celebrating the night, fire twirlers will be lighting up the darkness, amazing you with their vibrancy and skill as part of the CarnEvil Spooktacular circus. Dazzling Magicians and other gripping entertainers will be roving through the general festival area but you won't want to miss the show being performed in the big yellow circus tent. When you emerge, if you're feeling inspired, why not try your hand at some real-life circus skills. Juggling, plate spinning, acrobatics and more with real-life experts on hand to show you how.

Venture into the Alchemist's Potions Lab for some hair-raising chemistry before taking a trip through the Glow Zone. Listen to a gory story or two, then for some serious scream action, climb aboard an amusement or two.

There'll be show bags and event merchandise to purchase throughout the night and plenty of spine tingling atmosphere. This is Halloween at it's best.

Freaky food vans will be serving hot dinners and desserts, then once you've finished exploring the festival pull up a BYO camp chair or blanket and bunk in for a film in the open-air cinema. Screenings begin at dusk and all movies shown will be rated PG for family-friendly fun.
