Take to the water to watch Docklands Winter Fireworks
The ever popular Docklands Winter Fireworks, a firm favourite with Melbourne families, returns again in 2013 to illuminate Friday wintry night skies and satisfy your senses with crackling, booming sound, colourful explosions and the smell of smoke in the frosty air.
But if you'd like a fireworks experience that includes a little more than just the ten minute fireworks display and roving entertainment you'll see from The Piazza at Docklands, you can take to the water instead for a Friday Fireworks Cruise, where you'll have the best vantage point in Melbourne to view the gala performance.
Pleasure Boat Cruises are offering a one hour cruise, complete with nibbles, a fully licensed bar, and a pleasant evening meander through the Docklands waterways aboard the M.V. Mandalay, one of the last all timber vessels of its size built in Australia, or M.Y. Challenger, formerly a gentleman's private yacht complete with a captain's lounge and large observation deck.
