There is a host of different multi-cultural markets on in Melbourne before Christmas. There is the ever popular Swedish Christmas Bazaar, a host of popular German Christmas markets in November but don't forget the French, who always know how to do a chic Christmas.
They run a whole weekend of French-related Christmas stalls and events over two-day which is free to attend. Expect lots of French food such as cheeses, wines, pates, sausages and terrines. They'll be French-inspired homewares and gifts and traditional yummy coated nuts and French crepes of course. You can watch them being made.
The market showcases French products, but also includes those made by French designers living in Australia, so you are likely to find that unique Christmas gift you are looking for.
The famous photo booth looks a lot of fun with all the props to make you look almost French. Also enjoy free demonstrations, access to French second-hand books, free French trial classes and level assessments.
