Ever wanted to experience the best of France without having to part with thousands of dollars to fly to the other side of the world? Great news Brisbanites – thanks to a one of kind pop up French bakery, locals can now indulge in an authentic French experience, right on our very own doorstep. On the second and fourth Saturday of each month, the French Sin bakery comes to life within the Jan Power's Farmers Market at the Brisbane Powerhouse.

Set up like a traditional French boulangerie, it's as though this slice of heaven has been plucked from the centre of Paris, bringing with it everything we love about the beautiful City of Lights. The bakery serves a selection of mouthwatering French treats, leaving you spoilt for choice with the variety of fresh bread, croissants, danishes and other pastries on offer. Everything is baked on site, making these 'melt in your mouth' treats even more amazing.

.

After four years, French Sin has established itself as a major attraction at the Powerhouse markets. Market goers flock to the stall every fortnight for what could be the best croissants in town. The queue of eager customers waiting to get their hands on these hot little treats is a testament to the great quality of these French delights.

The atmosphere is relaxed, the staff exceptionally friendly and the service fantastic. The outdoor seating area resembles a street side cafe in Paris. My suggestion - grab a merlo coffee from next door, enjoy a croissant or two and people watch like a true Parisian. You will be so immersed in the experience that you will soon forget you are surrounded by hundreds of people in the middle of a farmers market.

Get in early and avoid the rush as it doesn't take long for this place to be filled with 'sinners'. There may be a wait for seating, but take my advice and wait it out – it is absolutely worth it. If you're lucky, you may even get a seat with river views. If you don't however, why not soak up the French experience and work off those croissants with a walk along the river located just steps away.

French Sin also stocks specialty French food products imported from France. For those French foodies, you will be pleased to find homemade Pates and Terrines as well as pork, rabbit and duck Rillettes.

As well as the Powerhouse Markets you can also find French Sin at the Noosa Farmers Market on Sundays and Jan Power's Farmers Markets at Mitchelton and Manly. There may even be a shop front opening soon, so watch this space.

Go ahead, indulge on these delightful French treats and thank me later.
