Then mark your diaries for the inaugural French Polynesian Festival at historic Como House, South Yarra from the 25th to 28th October 2012.
Hosted by N&C Pacifique and N&C the French Touch, the festival will feature a Polynesian village in the grounds of Como House comprising stalls with products and services by over thirty Tahitian organizations. All things related to French Polynesia will be promoted during this festival - from traditional arts and crafts to music, dance and food. You can learn about new tourist destinations and attractions and major sporting events like the Moorea Marathon and the Tahiti Pearl Regatta.
There will be performances by award-winning dance and musical troupe, O Tahiti E and demonstrations of unique arts and crafts like monoi making (perfume oil); pareu wearing; wood and mother-of-pearl carving, tattoo art, and shell jewellery making.
