Alliance Francaise de Brisbane has some friendly, interesting and educational French language workshops and courses where you can gain a fluency and understanding of the French language and culture.
All the workshops and courses are conducted in the Alliance Francaise premises at 262 Montague Road, West End.
Here are some courses about to commence:
Babes in Arms – A1 Beginners This unique course is held every Thursday and is a Beginners' Class especially for all you Mums who would like you and your baby to join in with other Mums and their babies and start learning French.
The Babes in Arms course commences on 23 February, 2017 and is to be held at Alliance Francaise rooms on Thursdays from 10.30am to 12.00pm.
Whatever level you are at, either in French or yoga, you and your friends are welcome to join in. Classes begin on Wednesday, 22 February and Friday, 24 February and you can enrol for either of the six weeks courses by clicking here and following the prompts for either of your preferred Wednesday or Friday course.
Wednesday classes run from 12.30pm until 1.30pm and Friday classes from 1.30pm until 2.30pm.
Price for the full six weeks course is $110.
If your time is limited but you would like to try Yoga in French you can enjoy the experience by attending on a casual basis. Any of the classes can be joined at a time to suit your circumstances. Click here and select the casual classes you would like to attend.
Casual classes cost $22 each.
French Speaking Practice – A2 Improve your conversational French with this class by maintaining your skill level as you refresh and consolidate your speaking skills. The course commences on Tuesday 28 February, 2017. Classes start at 10.00am and run until 12.00pm.
French Grammar for All – Levels A1/A2/B1/B2 Learn essential French grammatical jargon and gain confidence as you better understand the proper use of French grammar.
The course begins on 23 February, 2017 each Thursday evening from 5.30pm until 7.00pm. Course fees are $200.

French for Travel 2
A course that will teach the French needed to enhance your travel experience. You will learn useful phrases and tips for traveling in French speaking countries. This course is supported by access to an online platform for extra practice.
Commencing on Tuesday, 7 March, 2017 until Tuesday, 28 March, 2017 the classes will be from 6.10pm until 8.40pm.
This is an A1 Elementary level course but you will need some French. Register for the course by following the prompts from here. Course fees are $230.

French Speaking Practice – B1 For the more advanced French speakers you can join the B1 Level to improve your skills. This course commenced on 16 February, 2017 running to 6 April, 2017 from 10.00am until 12.00pm.
French for Travel – Level A1 Beginners If you travelling to the continent French for Travel 1 will give you an insight into the French language and culture. It gives you the ability to know which coffee, wine or meal you would like and be able to order it in French.
Conversation and Croissant – B1 Intermediates What better way to kick off your weekend than sitting down to practise your French skills over a coffee and croissant.
This wonderful and very different course is available on Saturday from 8.50am until 10.00am.
La Gastronomie – B1 and above These workshops are delicious and fascinating as they focus on the jargon and culture surrounding the art of French cooking. Enjoy a Tour de France of la cuisine française and sample generous tastings of food each Friday from 12.30pm until 2.00pm.
