A break from Hollywood - Free Entry
The Alliance Franšaise de Brisbane is part of the international network that promotes French language and culture outside France; The Alliance was established in Paris on July 21, 1883.

Every last Friday of the month Alliance Franšaise de Brisbane hosts a 'French Film Fridays' (this month is an exception, its a week earlier : Please note change of date). This brings French culture to us, saving airfare costs.

Take a break from the typical Hollywood Rom-coms and enjoy a French Film.These films have English subtitles and entrance to the Film Friday is free. The film for this month is Fly Me to The Moon, a 2012 French action adventure comedy film directed by Pascal Chaumeil and starring Diane Kruger and Dany Boon.


Isabelle has a perfect plan to break the age old family curse, in which every first marriage ends in divorce. She wants a fairytale ending with Pierre, whom she has loved for ten years. Her plan, marry a stranger and quickly end the first marriage in divorce, this breaks the curse and she can live happily ever after in her second marriage to Pierre.
