French and Fantastique Concert Event

French and Fantastique is the latest production by the South Side Symphony Orchestra (SSSO). This one-off production will see renditions of selected classics by famous French composers.Established in 2011, the SSSO has over thirty members and aims to promote and perform orchestral works for the wider public. Musical Director of the SSSP is the accomplished Chris Dragon, who is also the current Assistant Conductor of the West Australian Symphony Orchestra (WASO). The upcoming concert event will be held on Sunday 17 August 2014 at South Perth Civic Hall, Cnr Sandgate Street and South Terrace, South Perth from 2.30pm. Presented in association with the Lions Club of Leeming, the concert programme will feature performances of:Orpheus in the Underworld – OffenbachPavane – FaureDanse Macabre – Saint SaensL'Arlesienne Suites 1 and 2 – Bizet The event is family-friendly and all are welcome to attend.Tickets are now on sale through Vic McGrath: email [email protected] or phone 9310 9775 to make a booking.
