Sweating can be fun with Nataliya
I have recently posted an article about My Gym at Hoppers Crossing, a casual and cheap fitness location for us 'normal people' to go to without feeling out of place.
While I was working out one Tuesday evening, the owner Tracey, came up to me and asked it I wanted to try out a group that was on later, for free. She explained it was called Freestyle Fitness, where the group instructor decides what to do on the night, depending on who shows up.
At first I was sceptical. I thought that surely a good instructor would have a plan of attack for each group, with set moves and set music. Tracey explained to me that the instructor was very good and had been training all her life. I eventually gave in.
I joined the group at 6pm which was out in the back shed (behind the main gym area) and met Nataliya, the trainer. I found out later that Nataliya is about my mum's age (I am 38) and she is from Russia. She is very funny, has trouble speaking English and is firm. She makes you work hard.
The other ladies in the group and I have a great time and by the end of each class we are exhausted, but we keep coming back for more. I think this is because of Nataliya, who is extremely fit and very knowledgeable about exercising, motivation, yoga and food planning.
Who can attend: Males and females, in fact anyone with a desire to be fit.
The type of activities Nataliya undertakes for her classes include: Step aerobics Circuit work
But she may add in additional activities on the night.
Location: My Gym is located at Unit 1 / No. 1 Graham Court, Hoppers Crossing, Victoria
Each group session is $10.00 if you pay per visit, as I do, or as part of your membership (depending on what one you have).
Membership: My Gym often has various membership deals, but generally the Gold Membership costs $14.95 per week and there are no additional sign-up fees to suck you in.
The Silver Membership is $9.95 per week. The only difference between the two is that the classes are free for the Gold compared to half price for the Silver.
