The dry season is coming and Darwin and the rest of Northern Territory will come alive again with lots of festivals and outdoor activities. One of the best family programs during the dry season by City of Darwin, FREEPS is held annually in May at Nightcliff Swimming Pool as part of Nightcliff Seabreeze Festival. The City of Darwin will be opening the gates of Nightcliff Pool and providing free family activities on Saturday 6 May 2017 from 3pm-6pm.
Swimming season again at the top end
The Nightcliff Seabreeze Festival 2017 itself will be held from 28 April to 14 May 2017. During the festival, the worlds of food, art, dance and music come together to offer a wide and varied range of culturally diverse moments.
FREEP is a fun program of entertainment and free recreational activities suited for all ages. The events are held for family enjoyment and the free activities include City of Darwin's Fun In The Parks crew, City of Darwin's Orange POPP (Public Outdoor Ping Pong), City of Darwin's Giant Games (Giant Jenga, Giant Connect 4, Giant Chess, Giant Snakes and Ladders, etc), Darwin Castles and Slides Inflatables (a jumping castle, a water slide and an obstacle course), Darwin Toy Library games and activities and also Enchanted Party Art Circus Workshop performers and Stilt Walkers. Don't forget, all activities are free of charge and entry to Nightcliff Pool is from 3pm to 6pm.
