Freeman Street is a short-level street with a footpath on only one side.

It is tree-lined and offers a shady walk on a sunny day.

Several bougainvillea plants looked attractive with their deep pink flowers. They are a native of several South American countries.

Another attractive pink flower is the oleander tree. It is often seen as a street tree and is considered a poisonous plant.

Also often seen as a street tree is the red bottlebrush tree an Australian native. When in flower they brighten any street walk.

The silky oak tree is another Australian tree endemic to the eastern coastal areas.

The bower plant climber is another endemic to eastern Australia.

An interesting sight was a raven having a wrestle with what looked like some nest-building material. Another two ravens were photographed on an overhead wire and on the ground.

Surprisingly, no magpies were seen, but two mudlarks were.

Another raven and a spotted dove were also seen along with two ducks, but only on a sign.

A variety of roses were in many gardens as were agapanthus. Orange lilies looked colourful and a wall of succulents in pots looked attractive.

Another orange plant was the marmalade bush.

An owl, gnome and a much-abandoned wheelbarrow were among the garden ornaments seen. Two garden lamps adorned two gardens.

Partway along Freeman Street was a medium-sized park with a small playground.

A small, landscaped garden bed was added to one garden as did a DIY garden bench.

Several new pickets, wooden and wire fences fronted several properties.

Christmas decorations were appearing in some gardens. A coastal rosemary bush was suitably decorated as was a street power pole.

Other flowers seen were some yellow honeysuckle flowers and pelargoniums.
