The Riverstage - City Botanic Gardens, 59 Gardens Point Road, Brisbane will once again echo the sounds of freedom with an aptly named Armistice Centenary Concert on Sunday 11 November 2018 from 1.30-7pm. This celebration, though free, does require registration for tickets. Capacity is limited, so all patrons, including children and babies, must have a valid ticket. Gates open at 1.30pm and the music begins at 2.30pm.

Recalling the amazing scenes that broke out in every city and town across Australia when Armistice was declared a century ago, come along to sing, cheer, dance and celebrate once again. Come early and grab your best spot with a great vantage point.

Hosted by the RSL Queensland, Kate Ceberano, Ash Grunwald and Pete Murray will join the Australian Army Band Brisbane in a musical tribute commemorating the end of World War I. None of these artists need introduction. Kate has been charming audiences for more than three decades with her signature blend of pop and jazz. Pete with more than a million album sales to his name is one of Australia's best-loved musos with his mellow folk-pop sound, and Ash has carved out a fearsome reputation on the blues and roots scene here and internationally. Brisbane's Australian Army Band has a reputation as one of the finest military bands in Australia since its formation in 1949 and their wide variety of musical style goes from traditional military to jazz and rock.

The kiddies haven't been forgotten. There'll be a range of fun activities for all ages, giant games, balloon twisting, fairy floss, face painting, messy play and more. Grab yourself a good picnic spot as there'll be a range of amazing food and beverage stalls to choose from. Please note that you cannot bring your own picnic. For more details check the event discussion page, and the website for FAQs on the do's and don'ts.

Look forward to woodfired pizzas, satays and curries, German sausages, burgers and fries, and ice cream treats. Enjoy a wine or beer from the Riverside Bar, or a coffee, tea, or hot chocolate from Chocolate & Coffee Heaven. A free water station will make sure you stay hydrated.
