Free winter school holiday activities for children
Preston Market has been going for more than 45 years now. It is the fresh food and multicultural hub of Melbourne's north areas, and therefore plays a role in resident's everyday lives.
The actual market is Melbourne's second largest one with more than 6000 sq metres of market with stalls ranging from fresh produce to supermarkets and variety stores.
Next month, Preston Market has a fun line up of FREE winter-themed activities for the children in their school holidays. Bookings are not required for any of the children's events, however, spaces are limited so perhaps get there a bit early to avoid disappointment.
The address for the market is 2/30A The Centreway, Preston. Parents can do their weekly shopping, or perhaps catch up with friends over a coffee and a bite to eat. They can sit back and relax and let the children wander around possibly making new friends. The children will have a good time with the following winter-themed activities:
Pinecone painting with the Winter Fairy - this will be on Wednesday 3rd July 2019 through to Friday 5th July from 10.00 am until 1.00 pm
Preston Market has cubby houses and friendly spaces to play in and it is the ideal place to take the children for a fun day out over the school holidays. As it is winter, make sure you and the children dress up warmly!
