Facebook Applause
If you have been watching shows such as the X Factor you may have wondered about how all those excited fans get to be in the audience.
And perhaps you also want to be part of all that emotion, raw energy and excitement.
Facebook Applause
One way of organizing yourself is through the company Applause that dole out tickets to interested viewers.
Facebook Applause
These tickets are normally free as television studios have a good reason for wanting you to attend. This is because they cannot make a show seem popular if there are a whole lot of empty seats for the cameras to pan over.
The Applause Store gets thousands of free television and radio show tickets. Shows on their books include Top Gear, Australia's Got Talent, The X Factor AU, Can of Worms.
Tickets are free but there is one small hitch. A ticket means you are highly likely to get into see a favourite show but there is no absolute guarantee because such events give out more tickets than they have the audience capacity to hold . This is to make up for "no shows."
Ticket holders are therefore let in on a first-come, first-served basis.
You usually get in and if you don't you may be offered priority pass seating to a future recording of the same show (subject to availability) OR a different show.

Priority Pass' holders need to be there 45 - 60 minutes before the doors open but free ticket holders need to be there before that.
For most events audience members need to be at least 16, due to their content but other shows happily allow those who are much younger. So check the details carefully before applying.
Once you get your free tickets you are not permitted to sell them.
You may not actually get to meet the stars in the shows but you will get a lot closer than sitting at home and sometimes there are opportunities for a handshake or an autograph.
You do need to join Applause if you wish to register for tickets. Joining is free and there are boxes you can tick if you do not wish to receive any advertising from them.
