Operating for over 30 years, Searoad Ferries is the iconic car and passenger ferry service sailing Melbourne's Port Phillip Bay between Sorrento and Queenscliff.

If you haven't done it, the 45 ride is a lot of fun. Sea breeze, standing on deck and great locations at either end; Queenscliff for the historical coastal village feel and Sorrento for beach and upmarket restaurants and great shopping vibe. With spacious lounges encircled by full-length windows and external observation decks, passengers can view the spectacular coastal scenery, admire the clifftop mansions and spot dolphins all year round.

The free tickets are a thank you to Victoria for suffering through lockdown for the common good. Searoad Ferries wanted to give Victorians a well-deserved escape with $1 million worth of free tickets.

Return tickets! So this would make a lovely day's outing.

Two vessels, MV Sorrento and MV Queenscliff connect the Great Ocean Road and the Bellarine with the Mornington Peninsula, sailing the pristine waters 24 times a day and every day of the year.

Victorians are encouraged to reward themselves with a relaxing sail across the bay and a visit to the seaside towns of Queenscliff and Sorrento by registering for a free return foot passenger ticket aboard Searoad Ferries. Victorians can pick any day, from November 23rd to travel – there are tickets for every day until 31st July 2021.

Registration will open Wednesday 18th November and runs through until 5 pm on the Sunday 22nd of November. To register for a free ferry ticket, visit www.freeferrytickets.com.au
There are 38,484 tickets up for grabs.

There is a good chance of seeing a dolphin, as well as seeing the dramatic coastline and letting the cares of 2020 drift away

According to Searoad Ferries CEO Matt McDonald:"We are a family-owned business and we know how hard it has been for Victorians. A free ticket, the beauty of the bay and some fresh air is something we would love Victorians to experience. We want them to remember how beautiful our state really is and what better way to do it than with some sea air, beautiful views and time with family and friends."

Victorians are eligible for one free ticket per person and tickets are available to be booked for travel on each day from 23rd November 2020 to 31st July 2021.

Remember you can pick a day, share the link with family and friends, so they can grab their ticket and make the most of a trip on Port Phillip Bay.

Searoad Ferries operates under a comprehensive COVIDSAFE Plan, with strict cleaning and hygiene measures in place, contactless ticket purchase and boarding, seating placement for social distancing and plenty of outside deck space.

Once passengers disembark, the coastal towns of Queenscliff and Sorrento are the perfect seaside escape. Whether it's a spot of fishing, dining al fresco, browsing through quaint boutiques or taking a leisurely stroll along the water, visitors will have much to see and do while surrounded by the beautiful backdrops of Queenscliff and Sorrento.

A great suggestion Nadine. Have made the trip many times, by car, on a bus trip and as a foot passenger. Thoroughly recommended. Never out of sight of land and fantastic view.
