Even the best things in life are FREE
*It has come to my attention that you need to be a gold level member of On the House to get tickets to this show. This costs $55.50 for 8 Months. It also means no $5.60 booking fees on any of the shows you book through them. Given the official cost of this show I think it would be worth it. However they also offer plenty of tickets to events with their free membership level as well. So it is worth looking into.

I think the FREE ticket service On the House is the best thing since sliced wholemeal bread.

I won't waste heaps of words here explaining how they operate (you can read about that in more detail here) but basically it is a depository where publicists place mostly free tickets so that people will go and see a show.

The pay off is that you then go and tell you friends about this great show you saw and then it becomes "word of mouth" which is the most powerful source of advertising in the entertainment business.

I just wanted to alert you to the fact that, at the moment, there are a fair number of these tickets (free except in some cities there is a $5.60 booking charge) to see Cirque Mother Africa a powerful production which displays the almighty talents of some of Africa's best acrobats, dancers and musicians.

They come from all over; Ethiopia, South Africa, Kenya, Tanzania, Ivory Coast, Benin, Zimbabwe, and Guinea sharing their talents and love for their homeland.

This show is so exciting it has been seen by two million people worldwide. It is a wild ride of masks, drums, colourful beads, and amazing costumes. It was described by the Dominion Post as "the Lion King on steroids"

But this isn't just one of those cultural shows that you go and see when you are on holiday. Cirque Mother Africa also has lots of dynamic contemporary performances as well.

This vibrant show has been exceptionally well reviewed. The New York Times noted its "exuberant, high-energy entertainment." Glam Adelaide commented on its "Pure spectacle, colourful costumes, immense physicality, powerfully rhythmic music, song, dance, cirque acts and comedy, something for everybody."

The full price on these shows is
179.80 - $199.80

Tickets to good shows like this are always gone in the first instance even if you have Gold Class membership, especially if you live in Melb or Sydney. I have been disappointed quite a number of times. Can never seem to get them.

After signing up, when you try book it tells you that you can only get tickets if you become a Gold Member ($55.50). Fail!
