Movies by the Bay

During the summer months, catch a free family movie on Friday evenings with Hobsons Bay City Council's Movies by the Bay. It's free to attend the event, which commences after dark at a different park in Altona or Williamstown each session.
Every Friday morning at Federation Square, join in on a free Health Qigong class to limber up and clear your mind. The classes are presented by instructors from Tai Chi Australia, who also run the free Tuesday Tai Chi classes at Fed Square.
Winter Fireworks at the Docklands

During July and August, enjoy a free firework show at the Docklands every Friday night. The fireworks are let off above the water in New Quay, amid a different musical theme each week. The show starts from 7pm, with roving entertainment beginning at 6:30pm.
Dance enthusiasts come together on the first Friday evening of each month for the First Friday Dance Club. The free group is led by skilled dance groups, with a different genre being danced each week. Open to all, you do not need to have any level of experience or even coordination to join. It is held at Queensbridge Square at the Southbank Concourse.
Make your very own masterpiece and leave it for someone else to chance upon, or pick up another artist's work to keep, with Free Art Fridays. Look out for pieces of art on buses and in public spaces each Friday.
