Event:
How green is the forest?
This event is an opportunity to undertake a bird survey of the old growth grey box and SA blue gum eucalypts recently cleared of olives with newly planted understorey in Blackwood Park.

Free the Trees: Bird survey

The non-native olive trees have been cleared around the old growth forest and new understorey plants have been planted under some of them. The Friends of Sturt Gorge are doing a bird survey to find out what birds are now in the forest. This is part of an ongoing measurement of improvements to the habitat quality and this project is seeded by Green Adelaide.

Please bring sun protection and a chair, and binoculars if you have them, as we will spend 20 mins surveying each tree.
