See the Sunshine Coast for free this festive season
Getting around at Christmas can be a pain. Everyone's either at the shops or at the beach. It can make finding a park within walking distance an absolute nightmare! Well now, you don't have to worry about driving anywhere, at least for a little while. Translink and the Sunshine Coast Council have partnered up to provide free public transport on the Coast between December 26 and January 5.

Take the bus for free between December 26 and January 5.

The Free Holiday Bus program is an initiative of council's Sustainable Transport Strategy. The aim of the program is to increase numbers on public transport services and reduce traffic congestion across the Coast. This is the best chance to get out and enjoy the festive season without having to worry about driving there and back. The world, or rather, the Coast, is your oyster!

Free trips apply to all Sunshine Coast Translink Sunbus services, Glasshouse Country Coaches Hinterland Connect and Maleny-Landsborough-Beerwah Services, Flexilink Services and Council Cabs.

The buses will be packed with holiday makers - but it's better than driving there yourself!

You don't have to do anything special - just jump on the bus or follow the normal booking procedures for the Flexilink and Council Cabs Services.

Go on! Leave the car at home and enjoy a bus ride to the beach, to the shops, to the hinterland, to wherever you want!
