Totem Skateboarding is working together with the Campbelltown City Council to bring monthly skateboarding workshops to the area. Totem Skateboarding - based in Sydney - has been working in the community since 2010, using skateboarding as a means to encourage self-esteem in young people. They are a coaching and community events organization with an ongoing schedule of skateboarding events.


Skateboarding has a range of benefits including improving co-ordination, encouraging patience and persistence and providing a full body workout. These skateboarding workshops provide all this, as well as the opportunity for young people to meet others with similar interests - while learning from professional coaches.

The following are the dates and venues for the upcoming workshops in May, June and July:

Saturday 23 May

Venue: Macquarie Fields Skate Park, Victoria Road, Macquarie Fields
Time: 3.30pm to 5pm

Saturday 20 June

Venue: Campbelltown Skate Park, Hollylea Road, Leumeah
Time: 3.30pm to 5pm

Saturday 18 July

Venue: Macquarie Fields Skate Park, Victoria Road, Macquarie Fields
Time: 3.30pm to 5pm


The clinics are free of charge, equipment is provided and all ages are welcome. Note, however, that registration forms are required to be submitted before participation, and those under the age of 18 years of age will need parental consent.
