Seven September Sydney events will add a certain sibilant splash to your start of Spring entertainment this month. So strap yourself in, save your pennies and spring into culture, art, music, fashion, kites and gymnastics. Best of all, it's all free.
[SECTION]Fashion's Night Out[/SECTION]
If you're like most women you hardly need an excuse to shop. But when you throw late night entertainment, celebrities, discounts and competitions into the mix then who can resist? Vogue
Fashion's Night Out hits Sydney on 6 September and is part of a global fashion and beauty shopathon that stretches from Europe to the United States, creating one big style sisterhood. Of course, your purchases must be paid for but entertainment and gifts are free.
When: Thursday 6 September. Official hours are from 5pm to 10pm but some events may be held outside these times.
Where: Various retailers and shopping centres across Sydney
What's On: Fashion Meets Music will present sultry and smooth songstresses. Fashion and beauty stores throughout the city will have discounts and gifts with purchase

annual cultural festivals throughout the year and September is an action-packed month with 5 opportunities for you to delve into the culture of another land.

Indonesian Festival - Saturday, 8 September
Brazilian Festival - Sunday, 16 September
Burmese Festival - Saturday, 22 September
Malaysian Festival - Sunday, 23 September

There's something so childishly pleasant about flying a kite and watching it skip and soar in a clear, blue sky. Well, what about hundreds of kites; colourful, crafty creations from professionals and amateurs alike, along with workshops, demonstrations and a whole lot of fun. Waverly Council's popular
Festival of the Winds will certainly fit the bill this September.
When: Sunday 9 September from 11am to 4pm
Where: Bondi Pavilion, Bondi Park and Bondi Beach
What's On: Fly your own kite, make your own kite, kite demonstrations, puppet shows and art exhibitions.

[SECTION]Manly Vibe[/SECTION]
In 2012
Manly Vibe will draw together all of Manly's favourite festivals including the
Manly Arts Festival , Manly Jazz Festival, Sydney Chamber Music Festival and the Bike Live Festival. From 14 September to 1 October the streets, galleries, beaches, studios and museums of Manly and surrounds will form the backdrop for a kaleidoscope of entertainment and much of it is free.
When: From Friday 14 September to Monday 1 October
Where: Multiple venues around Manly and the Northern Beaches.
What's On: Manly Arts Festival, Manly Jazz Festival, Sydney Chamber Music Festival and the Bike Live Festival. There will be musical performances, visual art, street performances and the ever popular Lantern Parade.

[SECTION]Beams Arts Festival[/SECTION]
Beams Arts Festival , billed as "One Bright Night in Chippendale", showcases history, creativity and sustainability throughout these suburban streets. There's a mix of contemporary art, food, dance, music and light installations on offer.
When: Saturday 22 September from 5pm to 10pm
Where: Balfour Street, Wellington Street, Henrietta Street, Queen Street, Little Queen Street, Teggs Lane and Dick Street, Chippendale.
What's On: Live music, performances, workshops, art installations, bars and outdoor dining.

[SECTION]Cabramatta Moon Festival[/SECTION]
Fairfield City Council will once again host this popular Asian cultural festival, which last year drew 90,000 people into the ancient celebration. Traditionally a harvest festival celebrated on the fifteenth day of the lunar calendar's eighth month by Chinese and Vietnamese people, the
Cabramatta Moon Festival adds a modern touch to its traditional roots with a range of entertainment.
When: Sunday 23 September from 11am to 8pm.
Where:John Street, Park Road, Railway Parade and Arthur Street Cabramatta
What's On: 3 stages with live entertainment, Hip Hop performances, cooking demonstrations, mooncake and pho noodle eating competitions and more.

Now that the 2012 Olympics are done and dusted where can you get your fix of flipping, falling, flying fun? Try the
Sydney International Gymnastics Festival at Cronulla this September.
When: From Wednesday 26 to Sunday 30 September
Where: Various Cronulla venues
What's On: Gymnastics performances and workshops featuring teams from countries such as New Zealand, Japan and Denmark.
