Incorporating Bruce Lee's martial art of Jeet Kune Do
On Saturday, 20th October 2018, PAE Youth and City of Port Adelaide Enfield will host two free self-defence workshops at Kilburn Community Centre.
Both workshops will be led by Ric Vargas, founder of Australia's Ricardo Vargas Jeet Kune Do Academy. The martial art of Jeet Kune Do (JKD) was created by the famous Bruce Lee, who in the movie 'Enter The Dragon' (1973) described his style as "the art of fight without fighting".
Each workshop is 3 hours in duration - the first workshop runs from 9.30am until 12.30pm and is for women and girls aged 13yo and over. The second workshop runs from 1.30pm until 4.30pm and is for adults and teens of both genders aged 13yo and over.
Bookings are essential and can be made by contacting Christine Loveday via email: firstname.lastname@example.org or phone: 8405 6730
No experience is needed, Ric will teach workshop participants basic self-defence moves and techniques which will instil confidence and awareness in recognising, avoiding or negotiating dangerous situations effectively.
