Libraries in the Moreton Bay Region are putting on a fabulous program for all the kids so if you live in that area, you're in luck.
Gone are the days when you go to the library just for books. Now there are CDs, DVDs, magazines as well as all sorts of events, shows and activities on offer, especially during the school holidays. From reading programs to energetic shows, from movie screenings to craft activities, from fantastic games to fascinating stories, there is definitely something here for everyone, from toddlers up to 17 year old's.
From Monday 16 December 2013, to Friday 24 January 2014, libraries in the Moreton Bay Region will offer heaps to do and enjoy. All free, all fun, all fab.

Summer Reading Club
Attention Book worms.
Summer Reading Club begins on Monday 16 December 2013 so join the club and start reading madly for the chance to win fantastic prizes such as book vouchers and mini eReaders.
What's more, each library branch is holding an exciting launch event so come and watch a fabulous show, learn more about Summer Reading Club, sign up on the day and start reading.
Participants must be 17 years old and under and a member of Moreton Bay Region Library.
Shows & Movies
Don't miss out on the spectacular shows on offer this summer. See the performers get their groove on in African Drumming & Dancing Show and watch in awe as they drum, dance and sing; and witness the Live Science Show with explosive experiments and exciting demonstrations guaranteed to keep the little ones engaged and entertained. It's fun for the whole family so make sure you see it.
Showing At The Movies in various libraries are all kinds of films for all the family. See animated classics like Happy Feet and Legend of the Guardians: The Owls of Ga'Hoole to classic dramas such as They're a Weirdo Mob and Meet Me In St Louis, to all time favourites like Babe and Paws. With the large collection available, there is definitely something for everyone.
Fun & Games
Take the QuestOn Trivia Challenge and show us how much you know about monsters and magic. The more you know, the closer you are to winning that sensational JB Hi-Fi voucher. Make sure you also join in the QuestOn Treasure Hunt to look for the dragons, fairies, ogres and any other magical creatures who are lost in the library. Put your detective hat on and it's time to investigate.
What's more, head to ReadOn for reading inspirations, fun competitions and activities; GameOn for some battle sessions, online games and share your thoughts on the games you've played; and PlayOn for a games extravaganza including giant games, board games puzzles and jigsaws.
There is seriously an abundance of crafts available for kids up to the age of 12.
Monster fans, you're in for a big treat. You can create your very own monster masks, hats and tails at Monsters and Magical Mayhem; learn some drawing techniques while sketching your terrifying monster at Cartoon Monsters; or bring a monster that you've created to life using iPad apps at Monster Puppet Animation.
If you're into building and constructing, come and build a rocket at Rockets in Space and launch it into space; construct a kite and learn the ins and outs of kite flying at Kite Making; or make your first hot air balloon at Hot Air Balloons.
Little decorators will be in heaven with Decorate a Bird House, Christmas Craft: Make Your Own Decorations, Craft Tables and Pencil Tins and Poetry. Be sure to check these out.

At Storytime, listen to fascinating stories, sing along to some wonderful tunes and have the most magical time here. In addition, toddlers will absolutely love Baby Rhyme Time. As well as an excellent way to develop their language and pre-reading skills, Mums and Dads will also be able to make friends, learn songs and have a great time.
