The City of Logan has an abundance of free and low-cost school holiday activities and programs. With such a great selection, there is something to entertain children of all ages, abilities and interests.
ImagiNation Children's Festival Official Launch: (18 September, 10am - 2pm, Mayes Cottage Kingston). Celebrate the launch of the City of Logan's second ImagiNation Children's Festival. Children of all ages and their parent or guardian will enjoy craft activities, pop-up playground fun with Sparky Do-Dah, petting farm and cottage tours. Bookings required.
LEGO Classic Play Zone: (19 - 23 September, 11am - 2pm daily, Grand Plaza Shopping Centre). Children will compete against their friends to see who can create a designated model the quickest. LEGO enthusiasts can challenge themselves by attempting to replicate a build whilst blindfolded.
A special session for children with special needs will be held 23 September, 8am - 9am. Children can enjoy LEGO building in a setting with reduced participants, competition and noise. Bookings are required for this particular activity, call 07 3800 7700
We're All Smurfs Exhibition (16 September - 1 October, 11am - 2pm, Hyperdome Shopping Centre.). Children of all ages can explore a life-sized Smurf village and participate in scheduled craft workshops. The Smurfy fun will continue during Centre operating hours with the opportunity browse through a gallery depicting 58 years of Smurf drawings and comic strips and have a photograph taken with a 4 metre high Smurf model.

Wildlife Encounters: (20 and 27 September, 11am - 1pm, Lions@Springwood). Nature lovers will delight in the opportunity to interact with animals including lizards, snakes, crocodiles and possums.
Crafty Little Recyclers With Reverse Garbage: (September 20 and 27, 10am - 1pm, IKEA Logan). Children will work with the staff from Reverse Garbage to transform cardboard, fabric and plastic waste into models of lovable marine creatures. No bookings required, children aged 3-10 years can attend any time during these designated sessions with a parent or guardian.
Aquatic Centre Open Day: (23 September., 8am - 5pm, Gould Adams Park Aquatic Centre). The entire family will enjoy the celebrations with free pool entry, inflatable pool rocket, jumping castle games and giveaways.
The Woodwork Project: (21 September, 9am - noon, Gould Adams Park Community Centre). Children aged 10 - 17 years will have the opportunity to learn new skills and create their own woodwork project to take home. Bookings required, call (07)34128222
Row the River: (24 September, 9am - noon, Waterford). This family-friendly event is open to participants over the age of 8 years. Training, canoes and all necessary safety equipment will be provided. Bookings required.
