Gold Coast Explorer since Jan 2010. Always on the lookout for fun, family things to enjoy with my four kids.
Event: -
Every 2nd and 4th Fridays during November & December, there will be free outdoor screenings of family movies at Sanctuary Cove. Pack a picnic, bring a rug and head to The Village Green @ Sanctuary Cove for a 7pm start, for the following movies under the stars.

The November movie nights start with Tangled. In true Disney style, it provides great lines which make adults laugh while offering a visually spectacular romp that entertains the kids. This retelling of the classic tale of Rapunzel is guaranteed to be a family favourite.
Nov 11: Tangled (G) 100 mins

Next up is another C.S. Lewis tale, from the best selling Narnia series of novels, The Voyage of the Dawn Treader. Edmund and Lucy return to Narnia and join up with Prince Caspian. Also whisked along is their unwilling cousin Eustace who plays the role brilliantly. Sailing in the Dawn Treader, they encounter many strange people and events in their search for the missing seven lords and seven swords of Narnia. This one is more suited to older kids.

Nov 25: The Chronicles of Narnia The Voyage of the Dawn Treader (PG) 113 mins

The first December movie is a Christmas themed choice with The Santa Claus 3: The Escape Claus, in which Santa is faced with the double dilemma of how to keep his new family happy and how to stop Jack Frost from taking over Christmas. There are plenty of magical scenes in this movie that make you believe reindeer really can fly and magic really does exist in the world.

Dec 9: The Santa Claus 3: The Escape Claus (G) 97 mins

Last up and note the date, 23 December, so a chance to send the kids out with a family member so you can get your wrapping done, is Yogi Bear. Yogi (voice of Dan Aykroyd) and his faithful pal Boo Boo (voice of Justin Timberlake) are Jellystone Park's resident bears. Their never ending quest for the lunches of the park visitors turns into the bigger challenge of how to stop the park from being sold and Yogi and his friends from losing their home. Time for Yogi to prove he really is "smarter than the average bear" .

Dec 23: Yogi Bear (PG) 80 mins

Don't miss these movie evenings. They're lots of fun for all the family.

Check the Session Guide and Visitor Information for more information.
