Born in Madeira, raised in Sydney, living in Melbourne and dreaming of Bali...

I was devastated when we first went into lockdown, and I realised we wouldn't be able to attend a studio class in a while. The people and sense of community are just as important as the classes and poses themselves - am I right?!
Pretty soon after, I realised that I could still access my regular Melbourne teachers online, as well as many other great teachers from all around the world! If the 'real-life' yoga industry was saturated, its online equivalent is now bursting at the seams with all the options we have available at our fingertips!
Yoga can be expensive - yes, even the online variation can cost between $20 - 30 per class. And, let's face it money is tight right now! If you would like to give it a try but don't have the cash and are not quite sure which style, studio or teacher is right for you... try one of these 3 FREE options:

This Aussie website offers loads of great yoga sequences, audio recordings and videos for you to download and use at home. Taught in the Iyengar tradition which has a focus on alignment and precision, these classes are ideal for beginners who are still learning all the intricacies of the poses (asanas), but there are also more advanced options too.
There are 10-minute mini-classes targeting specific areas like upper back and shoulders or hips and knees, as well as longer courses ranging from 6 week beginner to 12 week experienced courses. You get 3 free videos a month, with the option to pay for a monthly subscription for further access. The downloadable sequences are totally free so you can print them out and practice them anytime and all the time. Jump onto their website and get practising HERE.
Other than being FREE and good for your body and mind - the best thing about these classes is that can do yoga in the comfort and privacy of your own home (in your PJs - or naked if you want!) and it doesn't cost a bomb... Namaste!
