FREE ONLINE EVENT: Understanding Civics and Citizenship Community Workshop

This online event is a workshop created to assist those from multicultural and CaLD backgrounds to become more socially connected and involved in their new communities. It is hosted by Auspire and aims to educate about Australia to help those who have newly migrated feel connected.

Some of the information that will be covered includes:

-The Australian Constitution
-How the Australian parliamentary system works
-Australia's main political parties
-How to vote
-Information about the benefits of community participation
-Information about various programs that recognize positive community contribution

Those who participate will receive a certificate and it should be noted that this workshop may be beneficial to those who are working to attain Australian citizenship.

The workshop is free but bookings are essential.
