NGV Summer Kids Festival will be organised from 16 January 2016 to 26 January 2016 from 10am to 3pm daily to deliver a bucketload of fun to the little ones. This is a free event where all are welcome.
The festival will incorporate free creative workshops and activities administered and spearheaded by contemporary artists. Children can try screen-printing with Home-Work studios, colourful collage making with Laura Blythman and illustration workshops with Kat Chadwick. There will be a plethora of other exciting activities, which will enhance children's learning and development.
The NGV Summer Kids Festival will culminate with a number of fantastic performances and events on the auspicious day of Australia Day.
The setting for this amazing festival will be NGV International at 180 St Kilda Road, Melbourne and The Ian Potter Centre: NGV Australia located on the Federation Square precinct. NGV International houses an awe-inspiring art collection from Europe, Asia, America, and Oceania. The Ian Potter Centre is a repository for Australian art representing both Indigenous and non-Indigenous art from the colonial period to the present day. Flinders street railway station is the closest train station from both the Ian Potter Centre and NGV International.
