Free Live Life Get Active Sessions will be running at the Park beside the Stockland Sales and Information Centre, Dwyer Street, Cloverton, Kalkallo each Monday to Friday during school terms. Stockland has jumped on board, offering residents, locals and visitors from the brand new Cloverton community under construction at Kalkallor, free fitness sessions to keep healthy and active. The LLGA (Live Life Get Active) program has sessions in cross-training and boxing Mon-Fri at 9.30am during school terms. The 45 minute session is conducted by local professional trainers.
Cloverton's (Cloverton is on the eastern side of the Hume Freeway at Kalkallo, 38 kilometres from Melbourne's CBD) current Live Life Get Active Sessions are as follows.
Monday 9.30am-10.15am – Cross training
Tuesday 9.30am-10.15am – Boxing
Wednesday 9.30am-10.15am – Cross training
Thursday 9.30am-10.15am – Boxing
Friday 9.30am-10.15am – Cross Training
The LLGA program is the brainchild of former Olympian and Commonwealth Games champion Jane Flemming. The aim of the social initiative is to get Australians fitter, happier and healthier at free training camps in local parks, suburbs and cities around the country. A fun way for residents to get some exercise and a chance to socialise and make new friends.
The Live Life Get Active program is also currently available at four other Stockland Victorian communities i.e. Highlands at Craigieburn, The Grove at Tarneit, Mernda Villages at Mernda and Allura at Truganina. The programs are fun, enjoyable, and educational (on health, fitness and nutrition), and participants are encouraged to track their progress online and monitor weight loss and fitness levels. It's suitable for all ages and levels of fitness, catering from beginner to more advanced.
