Free family fun these school holidays

[ADVERT]Lightsview, 'Adelaide's newest Eastern suburb' proudly presents their annual 'Easter Fiesta'; a fun, family-friendly event which will take place on Sunday, the 14th of April, 2013.

This one day only community celebration will feature a host of Easter themed activities and events for the whole family to enjoy.

The 'Easter Fiesta' festivities will kick off at The Strand Reserve, Northgate at 3:30 pm with an Easter Egg Hunt.

Once the kids have had their Easter Egg fix, the fun will continue with a live performance from the Giggly Kids, a critically acclaimed children's entertainment duo consisting of trained actors and multi-instrumentalists, Dave Bailiht and Kate Jarvis.

In addition to the live entertainment, children can also enjoy the colouring-in station and there will also be an Easter Raffle.

The event will then conclude with an outdoor film screening of the family favourite, Surf's Up, featuring the voices of Shia LaBeouf, Jeff Bridges, Zooey Deschanel, James Woods and Jon Heder.

All are invited to come along to this popular annual event and with free entry, it is the perfect way to enjoy a lazy Sunday Autumn afternoon with family and friends. Bring along a few deckchairs, blankets and a scrumptious picnic to make a night of it.

FREE Art Classes For Kids

It is also worth noting that Lightsview are also hosting free kids art classes on Tuesday 23rd April, 2013 for children aged 5 and above. Sarah Jane Cook, the owner and operator of Active Art Studios, will present these one day only interactive kids art classes at Lightsview's Community Hub and all materials will be provided.

The art classes have been tailored to suit two different age groups;

Session 1 (10am to 11am) is designed for children aged between 5 and 8 years and a parent or guardian of each child will be required to attend the one hour class also. This class will introduce a range of fun art activities for children to complete together with their parent or guardian.

Session 2 (11am to 1pm) is designed for children aged 9 years and above. The class is pitched at young budding artists and gives children the unique opportunity to further develop their skills and receive some handy tips from a talented professional artist.

If you are interested in registering your child/children in either kids art class, please contact Kylie Harrison during office hours (Monday to Friday / 9am to 5pm) on 82611888 or email community@lightsview.com.au

Please register no later than Friday 19th, April 2013.
