Oh no, holidays have sprung upon us and if you are like me, you have spent most of the term catching up with work only to realise that next week is the start of the July holidays. So, what are you going to do?
I found that holidays can really test the budget, and the patience! All of a sudden you spend a little more on activities, kids eat more (well snack more), and your tidy home has just experience a level 5 tornado.
For me, I just
LOVE Bunnings . In fact Bunnings is probably one of the biggest holiday life savers in the world! That is because many of the Bunnings stores hold holiday workshops for kids. The best part – it is for
FREE. From caterpillar note holders to wooden money boxes, kids can learn to make a number of things while learning some invaluable life skills. I mean, let us face it, how many times have you had to paint a wall, plant a garden, use a hammer and nail, only to name my top 3?
Not all
Bunnings hosts holiday programs, however I put together a little schedule for you with my Top 4 Bunnings that I enjoy going to. If your Bunnings is not on my list, then just visit the
website and find out if the Bunnings in your neighbourhood is holding any holiday classes.
Remember to arrive early, because there may be limited spots open.
Furthermore if you notice, Whitford Bunnings is hosting a huge event day on the 11 July. Starting at 10 am, your kids are sure to be in for a big treat with hand painting at 10am, to the West Coast Eagles at 5pm. So put this date on your calendar as one not to miss.
So remember, if you are feeling just a little on edge with holiday tension, then visit your local Bunnings store for activities to keep you kids entertained. Plus, some stores have a cafe, so you can enjoy a coffee while the kids enjoy time to create!
