Family tours, hands on activities & craft
The Australian War Memorial has FREE school holiday activities for all ages, these July school holidays:
HANDS ON HISTORY is a free program on the Lower Level, where kids can try on uniforms, handle real objects and uncover the story of a family featured in the exhibition. Suitable for kids of all ages and their families. Hands on History will be held at 11 am on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday during the school holidays. FAMILY TOURS are 30 minute tours of the Second World War Galleries, designed especially for children and their families. Discover some of the fascinating stories behind the objects on display. MAKE AND CREATE is a school holiday craft area in the Education Space, where kids can make paper poppies and other creations to take home. The dates of Make and Create are Thursdays 6th &13th July, as well as Fridays 7th & 14th July. This craft activity will run between 11.30am to 1 pm.
