I have
written here before about Perth's best parenting secret: free family fun nights at Bunnings Homebase. What's not to love? They're held regularly and celebrate everything from Christmas to Easter to Fathers Day and Halloween, they have crafts and DIY, there is always food (pizza and juice and chocolates), and they remind us that gifts made by hand are far more valuable than something you can buy.
Oh, and they're free.
It's worth getting on the mailing list to find out in advance when the next event will be (
[email protected]).
[ADVERT]The next big free fun night is Halloween and will be held at Bunnings Homebase in Subiaco on Thursday 31st October between 6-8pm. This is the perfect event if your kids want to celebrate Halloween but your neighbours don't appreciate being door-knocked by mini-Yodas and witches brandishing pumpkin baskets.
Kids are encouraged to
dress up in their scariest outfits for the chance to
win a prize and there are a bunch of creepy activities to keep your little ghouls entertained including some spooky kids
craft,
face painting, a
jelly eating competition, pin the bones on the skeleton
games, and making some
scary biscuits.
There will also be a
horror house, and best of all, kids can go
trick-or-treating. In the store!
The whole family is welcome and there will be also be a
sausage sizzle and other refreshments.
Bunnings Homebase is easily accessible and has plenty of free parking. Bookings are essential. Please call (08) 9380 2600.
Go creepy or go home.
